The mission of the American College of Dentists is to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in oral healthcare.

About the American College of Dentists

The American College of Dentists Foundation was founded in 1972 to ensure the ACD remains recognized as the “conscience of dentistry” well into the future. With support from the Foundation and the generous donations of our Fellows and Friends, the College can develop and implement essential initiatives and programs that further its mission to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in oral healthcare.

How Your Contributions to the Foundation Help Shape Our Future and Enable Us to Achieve:

  • Creation and dissemination of the new ACD Ethics Handbook for Dentistry

  • Developing and updating online courses, videos, and ethics resources

  • Conducting education programming at the ACD Annual Meeting
  • Collaborating with and providing support for the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA)
  • Sponsoring leadership training for ACD Fellows in person and online
  • Convening the Spring Leadership Conference and the Ethics Summit

“Why I Give”

The American College of Dentists is profoundly grateful for the steadfast support and generous contributions from many of our ACD Fellows. Their strong commitment to our mission—to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in oral healthcare—serves to inspire and sustain that same dedication for the future. Discover why donating to the ACD Foundation has been so meaningful for our Fellows by watching the video below.
